For use with CS Series Headsets

The APC-4 hook switch control adapter allows the Plantronics wireless headset systems to control the answer/end function of compatible Cisco phones. It will also signal the headset upon an incoming call. The APC-4 hook switch adapter eliminates the need for a handset lifter like the Plantronics HL10.

Most Cisco phone models ending in numbers 2 and 5 are compatible; the compatible models are: 7942, 7962, 7945, 7965, and 7975. In most cases these models will also include a "G" at the end of the model number but it is not required as some phones are marked with the "G" and some are not.

Important Information:

• The Cisco phone must have firmware 8.3(3)x or higher
• The Cisco system must have the Cisco Unified Communications Manager 4.1(3)SR5x or higher with the cordless headset hook switch option enabled
• You can check the status of the cordless headset option on your phone by choosing the Settings button > scroll to Device Configuration > scroll to Media Configuration and reading the Headset Hookswitch Control setting; this setting is not the same as the headset enabled setting, look further down the list for Headset Hookswitch. The headset enabled setting turns the headset port of the phone on/off
