The Avaya MM717 24 Port DCP Media Module Non GSA (700501048) provides and supports simultaneous operation of 24 Digital Communications Protocol (DCP) ports that are connected through an RJ21X Amphenol connector. Each of the ports can be connected to a 2-wire DCP telephone including Avaya 2400, 6400, and 8400 series. However, it does not support 4-wire DCP telephones. The MM717 is supported in the Avaya G350, G430, G450, and G700 Media Gateways.

The 24 DCP ports are intended for in-building use only. The Phone lines that are connected to those ports are not to be routed out-of-building. Users should be warned that failure to comply with this restriction could cause harm to personnel or equipment. The MM717 is RoHS compliant. Signal timing specifications for this Media Module support TDM Bus Timing in receive and transmit modes. The G450 and G430 Gateways supply only +5 VDC and –48 VDC to the MM717 Media Module. The MM717 is connected to the wall field or breakout box with a B25A unshielded 25-pair cable.

• 2200 ft (671 m) over 0.4 mm (.016 in.) wire (26 AWG)
