The Avaya J179 IP Phone is compatible with Avaya Aura Platform 6.3 FP4, Avaya IP Office 11.0, Avaya One Cloud 3.0, and Avaya Approved Third Party Platforms.

The Avaya J179 IP Phone features a color display, 8 buttons with dual LEDs (red, green), 4 softkeys, 24 administrative buttons, high-definition audio quality, full duplex speakerphone, headset support, up to three 24-button Expansion Modules, optional Wi-Fi® or Bluetooth®, and integrated Gigabit Ethernet interface. It has a built-in volume boost control in handset for hearing impaired. The Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports provide fast network connections and powered by PoE which eliminates the need for an AC adaptor. An optional PoE injector or optional 5V power supply can be purchased separately. The Avaya J179 IP Phone accommodates advanced unified communications solutions through Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). It has an extensive ability for users to customize when deployed on Avaya Aura or 3rd-party Open SIP call platforms.
