IP Office RFA Application Activation License (Part Number: 174956) allows 1 third (3^rd) party end point (or 1 additional 3rd party end point). This available licenses are used in order of phone registration (If no licenses are available the phone will not be able to register) which the available licenses can reserved for a particular phone using the Reserve 3rd Party IP Endpoint License setting in each IP extension (IP Endpoint License is used for support of non-Avaya IP phones including SIP extensions).

*The Avaya 4600 series hardphones do not require this license key and iPhoneManager Pro (IP Office IP Soft-Phone) is enabled separately by IPPRO RFA (Remote Feature Activation (RFA) is a web-based application that is used to create and deliver license files for Avaya products).

*The non-Avaya IP telephones (SIP or H.323 devices) require a 3rd Party IP Endpoint license to register to IP Office and will consume one instance of that license.

Note: Avaya IP Softphone Release 4 “R4” (a CTI/TAPI enabled client-based telephony application for the PC or laptop) provides access to Avaya DEFINITY software (R9.5 and R10) and Avaya Communication Manager Software station features (except call center agent features). It provides productivity features, such as, easy-to-use graphical user interfaces and access to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) compatible databases. Avaya iClarity IP Audio, Avaya's Voice-over-IP (VoIP) audio engine, is integrated in the application to provide superior audio performance for the Road Warrior (Voice over IP) configuration. The major enhancements in this release include the ability to control Avaya IP Telephones and survivability against Denial of Service (Dos) attacks. The major enhancements provided in the latest Service Pack include multi-lingual support and the Picture of Phone view for the 2420 terminal.
