The Avaya IP Office 500 - R6+ Essential Edition - add 2 ports (Part number: 229423) can be used to add 2 additional channels to user’s Essential Edition Voicemail - IP500V2 only (license can be used to add additional ports up to the maximum of 6 / can be expanded up to 6 channels in increments of 2).

Or Avaya IP Office 500 - R6+ Essential Edition (an Avaya IP Office system license) make available for embedded messaging - the mandatory System SD card is also used to provide 2 ports of embedded voicemail (does not require the presence of a license) and from the release 6 onwards each IP500 V2 system supports also the Avaya IPO LIC R6 Essential Edition (add 2 ports) -enabled with 2 ports of voicemail.

Note: The Essential Edition allows embedded messaging that does not require the presence of a license. Each IP500 V2 system supports Essential Edition by default with two (2) ports of voicemail enabled (can be expanded up to six (6) channels through licenses in steps of two).
