Avaya DECT Avaya InBuilding Wireless Server R2 Enterprise Management (700501484) is an application server for the DECT R4 system that has replaced the AIWS1 design. The AIWS2 is IP Office 8.0 supported and can run applications such as SMS messaging, centralized phonebook, and corporate directory access. It supports centralized device management, including firmware and configuration upgrades over the air.

For installation and maintenance, this server is managed by a PC using Windows Internet Explorer (7.0 or above) and Sun’s Java Runtime Environment. The AIWS2 has a built-in power supply and includes wall mounting brackets. Several variants of the server are available but there is no upgrade available between variants. The AIWS2 Enterprise Variant features NTP Server, Central Phonebook, SMS Support, Basic Web Messaging, Over-the-Air Handset Software Upload, Over-the-Air Handset Configuration Upload, Handset Software Upload via Advanced/Rack Charger, Handset Configuration Upload via Advanced/Rack Charger, and Virtual SIM Card.
